tidbits for library project

I have a few tidbits I’d like to share with you!

First, I was able to determine that the altitude of the community of Cant贸n Rio Camanibal is 8000 ft! People visiting Denver mention the Mile-High city and how the altitude sometimes affects the body, especially during exercise. When I was in Guatemala last year, cities I visited were in the low 5000 ft range. Next year’s trip will allow me to test my altitude fortitude! 馃檪

Second, the planning and development phase of our library project continues this coming week — when the principal of the elementary school in Cant贸n Rio Camanibal (near Chichicastenango, Guatemala) will meet with a small committee and finalize the budget for our library project. I am excited to have a hard number in mind so that I know exactly what our fundraising goal should be! I will keep you posted!

In the meantime, I have had the joy of receiving support towards this project in a variety of ways!聽 I love it when that happens — but it makes the wait even harder to bear.聽 I get so excited about these trips!
